The Treatments We Provide
During our treatment sessions, we provide a range of scientifically supported techniques. We are dedicated to staying up-to-date with scientific research so if you ever have any questions on how these techniques work or the benefits they provide, feel free to ask us!

At Every Step, our patients take priority, for this reason, any combination of techniques used are included in the session price. Allowing the creation of optimal, bespoke treatment plans which evolve as your animal progresses through their journey.

Massage
Massage utilises manual pressure to improve blood circulation, increase muscle extensibility, improve muscle function, and reduce pain.

Myofascial Release
Aids to improve range of motion and functionality through reducing adhesions found within the Fascia. This technique targets the connective tissue found throughout the body.

Acupressure
Focuses manual pressure to specific areas to promote relaxation and increase comfort. This technique follows both meridian lines and the patients behavioural responses.

Stretch
Stretch is used to help increase joint range of motion by improving tissue extensibility. Increasing flexibility also helps to reduce occurrence of future injuries.

Transcutaneous Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation (TENS)
This electrotherapy is used for pain management through the stimulation of endogenous opioids (happy hormones).

Photobiomodulation (laser)
Dependant on the input settings, this electrotherapy is used to aid healing, reduce pain and improve tissue function.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (Pulse Mag)
This electrotherapy hosts a variety of benefits from increasing blood flow, stimulating bone healing and decreasing pain to decreasing blood flow and increasing neural stimulation.

Cryotherapy (Ice therapy)
Application of cold therapy aids to reduce inflammation and blood flow in addition to decreasing neural firing which reduces pain experienced. It also aids to reduce a build up of toxins which helps to improve tissue functionality.

Thermotherapy (Heat)
In opposition to the cold, heat therapy increases blood flow to an area, improving the bodies ability to remove harmful waste products. This too aids to reduce neural firing decreasing pain experienced. Heat also improves the extensibility of soft tissue structures such as muscles which aids to improve movement and function.

Joint Mobilisation
This technique is used to passively guide a joint through the desired movement, meaning we create the movement without the patient needing to muscularly assist. This helps to increase synovial fluid production (and therefore joint health) and improve the functionality of soft tissue surrounding the joints.

Remedial Exercise
Use it or lose it! A range of exercises are integrated into our treatments and plans which are bespoke to each patient and your daily routine. These exercises are integrated to target problem/ maintenance areas, promote optimal movement and encourage effective healing.

Advice on how you can help!
In addition to prescribed exercises, we are able to help you tailor your animals routine to further improve their progress! This may include reducing the use or stairs, adjusting feeding methods or tweaking exercise routines, such as introducing different surfaces. These alterations will be discussed with you and will consider your everyday life.
